About the Woodberry Research Institute

​

The Woodberry Research Institute (WRI) is the research arm of Woodberry Strategic Solutions, established to generate evidence, advance knowledge, and translate research into solutions that improve health and strengthen communities.

​

Our work focuses on health disparities, community and public health, environmental health disparities, and cancer disparities, using data-driven and interdisciplinary approaches to better understand the factors that shape health and well-being.

​

As a developing dry research lab, WRI supports research through data analysis, epidemiologic and population health research, bioinformatics and computational approaches, health disparity mapping, evidence synthesis, and research collaboration. Our findings can stand alone as research products or inform strategies, programs, policies, and community-based solutions through Woodberry Strategic Solutions.

Dr. Ayanna N. Woodberry is a biologist and public health researcher whose work examines the intersection of biological, environmental, and social factors that influence health outcomes. She founded the Woodberry Research Institute to advance interdisciplinary research and translate scientific evidence into strategies that improve health and strengthen communities.​​
